The BRICS Youth Summit & 2022 Beijing Sister City Youth Camp opened in Beijing on September 14th. As one of the representatives of youth-development-friendly cities, Changsha shared and promoted its views on "Urban Public Services and Youth Integration" and discussed joint development of youths and cities online at a sub-venue of the summit.

The All-China Youth Federation, the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Beijing Municipal Committee and relevant units co-hosted the event.

At the summit, representatives from domestic and foreign youth organizations shared and discussed cases, focusing on topics such as "Urban Development and Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship", "Urban Planning and Youth Development", and "Urban Public Services and Youth Integration".

Changsha has 3.41 million young people aged 14 to 35 years old. In June this year, Changsha was selected as one of the first groups of pilot cities for youth-development-friendly city construction in China. "As a young city, Changsha has always taken the youth as fresh troops in promoting its development, and the concept of prioritizing youth development has become the consensus of the city," Liu Linzhi, secretary of the CYLC Changsha Municipal Committee, said in his speech. He added that Changsha issued an implementation plan to pilot youth-development-friendly city construction. Six actions and 32 measures will be implemented to make Changsha more friendly to the youth and make the youth more successful in Changsha.

Some Changsha youths and international students attended the forum at the Changsha sub-venue.
