The Hunan-based activities of the 2022 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week kicked off in Changsha on September 15, 2022. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, attended and addressed the opening. Before the opening ceremony of the Hunan-based activities, participants watched the launching ceremony of the National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week.

The unified theme of this year's events is "Foster Growth Drivers with Innovation, Boost Employment via Entrepreneurship". Online and offline activities are held simultaneously nationwide. The Hunan-based activities are being held at the Hunan Science and Technology Museum between September 15 and 21. Special activities will be launched during the Week, including a themed exhibition, academician summit forum, project roadshows, youth talents conference, and cloud sharing of youth scientists' ideas . In addition to the offline events, an immersive online platform will be open for the public during and after the Week, creating a never-ending platform for mass entrepreneurship and innovation activities.
