The 2022 Hunan Provincial Quality Conference was held in Changsha on the afternoon of September 14. Seven organizations and one individual won the 7th Governor's Quality Award. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, asked to implement President Xi Jinping's important expositions on quality work; carry forward the strategy of strengthening the province by quality; and, speed up the establishment of a mass, all-round, and whole-process quality management system, so as to provide strong quality support for the implementation of the positioning, missions, and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy.

Governor Mao noted that in recent years, Hunan has carried out in-depth quality improvement actions of "increasing varieties, improving quality, and creating brands", which has enhanced economic competitiveness, development influence, quality control capabilities, and people's sense of gain. Hunan's pass rates of manufacturing product quality, consumer product quality, construction project quality one-time completion acceptance, and water conservancy project quality reached 93.81%, 92.06%, 99.7%, and 100%, respectively, all higher than the national average. Hunan has led and participated in the formulation of 9 international standards and 290 national and industrial standards.

Governor Mao also called for highlighting "Three Hubs" construction; strengthening supplies in three major fields -- product, service, and engineering and environment; consolidating three foundations -- brand, quality technology and talent; and, building a tripartite governance pattern among enterprise, government, and society.
