Hunan Activities of National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week to Start

The Hunan-based activities of the National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week ("the Week" for short) will be held at the Hunan Science and Technology Museum between September 15 and 21. It was announced at a press conference in Changsha held by the Hunan Joint Meeting Office for Promoting Business Startups and Innovation on September 8.

The unified theme of this year's events is "Foster Growth Drivers with Innovation, Boost Employment via Entrepreneurship". Online and offline activities will be held simultaneously nationwide.

Special activities will be launched during the Week, including a themed exhibition, academician summit forum, project roadshows, youth talents conference, and youth scientists' cloud sharing. 

The themed exhibition "Hunan Towards the Future" will open at the A-building of the Hunan Science and Technology Museum on September 15. It will display 118 projects and 30 typical characters in terms of business startup and innovation.

A college students entrepreneurship and innovation exhibition is newly-added this year, to showcase Hunan youths' efforts and achievements in this regard. Featured exhibitions and interactions will be staged at Hunan's five major demonstration bases for mass entrepreneurship and innovation – Xiangjiang New Area; Zhuzhou Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone; Xiangtan Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone; Hengyang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone; and, Yueyang Chenglingji New Port Area.

A themed forum will be held at the B-building of the Hunan Science and Technology Museum on September 15 morning. Wang Yaonan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, will give a keynote lecture. Persons in charge of some leading enterprises, such as Zoomlion, Z-Valley, and CEC Industrial Internet, will hold a symposium on "digital and intelligence technologies boost high-quality development of entrepreneurship and innovation".

After the Week, various units and demonstration bases across the province will continue to launch a series of achievement exhibitions, forums, cultural transmission activities, mass competitions, and professional services.

In addition to the offline events, an immersive online platform will be open for the public during and after the Week.
