During the 24 hours of September 3, there were three new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan (two in Hengyang City and one imported case). There were no new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 12 people under medical observation (including 4 imported cases).

Between 0:00 on January 1, 2022 and 24:00 on September 3, 2022, a total of 216 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 61 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 20 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. One hundred and ninety-six patients were discharged from hospitals (including 61 imported cases). No people had died.
