The 2022 Internet Yuelu Summit kicked off in Changsha on the morning of August 31. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, declared the summit open. There were 24 major projects signed at the opening ceremony, with a total investment of 83.31 billion yuan. The Yuelu Declaration was issued.

Li Dianxun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, delivered a speech. Provincial leaders Wu Guiying and Chen Fei; Fang Binxing and Chen Xiaohong, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering ; Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences Wu Lixin; and, Secretary General of the People's Government of Hunan Province Deng Qunce, attended.
Executive Vice Governor Li said in his speech that in recent years, Hunan has always adhered to the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on Hunan Province; fully implemented the positioning, missions, and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy; and, made every effort to "maintain stable growth, guard against risks, and meet basic living needs". Hunan has made a due contribution to China's stable economic growth and overall social stability.
In the world today, the digital economy is becoming a key force in reorganizing global factor resources, reshaping the global economic structure, and reconstructing the global competition pattern. Hunan will strive to promote technological research and development with artificial intelligence as the core; industrial upgrading highlighting intelligent manufacturing; and, smart applications based on smart cities. It will accelerate the building of a digital Hunan and the transformation of economic and social intelligence, empower economic development, and improve the people's wellbeing.
He sincerely expected the majority of people in the industry to actively participate in digital Hunan construction, and cooperate to build a trillion-scale electronic information industry cluster. Hunan will make efforts from four aspects of innovation policy, platform, atmosphere, and service; create a first-class digital economy innovation ecology in China; and, provide a fundamental guarantee for innovation and entrepreneurship in Hunan, he added.
