First Hunan-ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair Opens

The First Hunan-ASEAN Fair for Investment and Trade and the Fifth ASEAN-Hunan (Shaoyang) Famous and High-quality Products Trade Fair were held in Shaoyang City on the morning of August 25. Guests from home and abroad gathered together offline and online to seek common development and discuss about future growth. With the theme of "Seizing New Opportunities Brought by the RCEP and Deepening Hunan-ASEAN Cooperation", the events were hosted by the Shaoyang Municipal People's Government, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and the China-ASEAN Business Council. There are nearly 400 booths in five exhibition areas, with an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. A total of 600 domestic and foreign companies and 1,000 professional purchasing agents participated in the exhibition. The exhibition will last till August 27.

At the Thematic Forum on RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation.

Xu Ningning, executive director of the China-ASEAN Business Council, delivered a speech at the forum and conferred the plaque of the China-ASEAN SMEs Cooperation Committee Secretariat to Shaoyang. The Shaoyang Municipal People's Government signed a number of economic and trade strategic cooperation projects with the Hunan Chambers of Commerce in ASEAN countries and the Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Mexico. Shaoyang's counties (districts) and Shaoyang Economic and Technological Development Zone signed contracts with a group of enterprises. A total of 80 cooperation projects were inked on site, with 54.3 billion yuan of capital introduced.
