The "Story of a Small Village - Children's Rural Creation in Mountainous Area" Exhibition was held in Shuangyan Village, Anhua County, Yiyang City on August 22, 2022. This "wild" art exhibition, from materials collection, exhibits creation, to the design and arrangements of exhibition panels, was the efforts of the rural children. Within a pastoral environment, the exhibition showed a wonderful "chemical reaction" between arts and the countryside.

Since 2016, the "Dew Drop Project", an aesthetic education project of the Hunan Sun Charitable Foundation, has continued to provide art courses for rural children. It has held urban and rural public welfare exhibitions, and encouraged children in mountainous areas to observe life with an artistic perspective, discover the beauty around them, and express themselves bravely.
This year, the foundation joined hands with three Hunan-based young artists, Li Tingting, Peng Keren, and Zhu Ping. They, together with rural children, created artworks from the dimensions of photography, painting, and music in three villages between August 19 and 21, to feel the authenticity of the villages. Guided by the tutors, the children extricated themselves from video games and short videos, put their interest into the land that nurtured them, and rediscovered the beauty of the countryside.

On the morning of August 22, the "Story of a Small Village - Children's Rural Creation in Mountainous Area" Exhibition opened to the villagers. It included an art and photography exhibition area, and a music interactive area, as well as a pop-up concert and a "small village photo studio" photography interactive area. The works on display were all created in the previous three days. The children told the audience their stories of small villages and the nature.
