Hunan Sees Continuous Growth in Industrial Production

According to data released by the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics on August 22, Hunan's added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in July grew 6.9% from a year earlier, up 0.8 percentage points from last month. From January to July, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Hunan Province increased by 7.3%.


The industrial economy has maintained steady growth, and the manufacturing industry has accelerated quality upgrading. In July, Hunan's added value of manufacturing enterprises above designated size increased by 7.1% year on year, up 0.6 percentage points from previous month,  adding 6.4 percentage points to the province's industrial growth. The manufacturing industry has played a significant role in supporting the development of major industrial companies. Among them, the added value of high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 14.6% year on year, and that of equipment manufacturing industry rose by 13.9%, 7.7 and 7 percentage points faster than the provincial growth rate respectively.

An increasing number of "robots" appear in restaurants, schools, and factories, becoming "smart helpers" in production and life. In July, among the province's total major industrial company products calculated, 55.3% of them registered a year-on-year growth. Among electronics and mid-to-high-end products, the number of routers, semiconductor storage disks, new energy vehicles, sensors, and integrated circuits have doubled. The number of service robots and industrial robots have grown by 63% and 37.4%, respectively. Among the 39 monitored industrial sectors, the added value of 32 sectors increased on a yearly basis, up 7.7 percentage points from June. An expansion trend has been maintained for three consecutive months.
