The opening ceremony of Shaoyang ASEAN Science and Technology Industrial Park was held recently. The total investment of the industrial park project is five billion yuan. After the project is completed and put into production, its annual output value can exceed 10 billion yuan. Shaoyang ASEAN Science and Technology Industrial Park is the trade bridgehead for Hunan to connect with the ASEAN market. The industrial park is built by Shaoyang chambers of commerce in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar.

The project is planned to be constructed in three phases. Among them, the first phase of 300,000-sqm standardized workshops has been completed. As a result, more than 30 high-quality production enterprises in electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, biotechnology, luggage and clothing have been introduced and cultivated. Twelve companies have been put into production, and others will start operation within the year.
