The Seventh Hunan Provincial Conference on Work on Public Complaints was held in Changsha on the morning of August 16, 2022. Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, met with the commended representatives.

Secretary Zhang, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province, congratulated the honored collectives and individuals, and extended sincere greetings to the cadres and workers of the provincial system for handling public complaints. He remarked that the provincial public complaints-handling authorities have conscientiously implemented the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and the work requirements of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province. They have resolved prominent problems, effectively safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of the masses, and made contributions to the construction of a modernized new Hunan.

He expected them to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important instructions on strengthening and improving the handling of public complaints made through letters and visits; take the awardees as examples; adhere to the people-centered development philosophy; practice through solid and hard work; smooth communication channels; listen to the demands of the masses; strengthen supervision and instruction; put heart and soul into the work for the people's concerns; and, set the stage for the 20th National Congress of the CPC with concrete actions.
