Since the beginning of this summer travel peak, the 18 high-speed railway stations across Hunan Province have handled more than 200 million tourist arrivals and departures, which surpassed that in the same period in 2019.
During the summer travel peak, all the high-speed railway stations in the province have paid high attention to updated epidemic prevention and control measures as well as resumption of tourism and other key industries around the country. The railway operation plans were updated daily, to thoroughly implement the anti-epidemic measures and optimize passenger travels.
All the railway stations have carried out measures to ensure safety of travels, including enhancing ventilation and sanitation at stations, trains and other public transport venues; increasing frequency of disinfection at service counters, waiting seats, escalator handrails, rest rooms, and other key places; and, checking health codes, travel records, venue codes, and temperatures at entries and exits.
Beyond that, the stations increased staff members at safety inspection, check-ins, and other important positions, and opened more entry and exit channels, to ensure smooth trips of passengers. Two self-service robots were set up at the waiting hall of the Changsha South Railway Station. Passengers can acquire operation time, check-in, and seat information of their trains through facial recognition.
The railway authority reminded passengers to reserve enough travel time before taking the trains to avoid delaying the trip in summer travel peak.
