Ningxiang Signs 20 More Projects to Develop Headquarters Economy

Ningxiang signed 28 projects on July 1 and 20 more headquarters economic projects on August 10, 2022. These projects will contribute to an annual tax revenue increase of more than 50 million yuan. Kang Zhenlin, vice mayor of the Changsha Municipal People's Government and chairman of the Changsha Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the signing ceremony. This aimed to promote the work of attracting Ningxiang-born people to return to their hometown to contribute to Ningxiang's development; put forward the development of the headquarters economy; enhance the exchanges between young entrepreneurs; and, cultivate new momentum for Ningxiang's economic development.


Ningxiang is an important part of Xiangjiang New Area in Hunan, showing a good momentum in the implementation of the Strategy of "Strengthening the Provincial Capital". In recent years, Ningxiang has made remarkable progress in economic development. In 2021, its annual GDP reached 116.702 billion yuan, ranking 18th nationwide in terms of the basic competitiveness of the county economy. In the first half of 2022, Ningxiang achieved a regional GDP of 61.337 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. There were 70 newly-introduced industrial projects and 110 ones newly started.


Ningxiang has launched a program with the cultivation of 10-billion-yuan enterprises and 100-billion-yuan industries as the core. It has adopted planning-type investment promotion and offers shareholder-type services; led industrial investment promotion with industrial development planning; actively implemented the decisions and arrangements of "welcoming fellow townsmen to return to their hometown to contribute to the development" made by the provincial and municipal governments; and, built a new global pattern of "Ningxiang-based businessmen returning to hometown". Ningxiang is now moving towards the goal of "building a provincial capital sub-center and advancing to the top ten county economy in China".
