China's Top 500 Brands Unveiled in Changsha

The annual conference of the 16th China Brand Festival was held in Changsha on August 8, 2022.

A list of the 2022 China's Top 500 Brands was released, with 15 Hunan-based brands shortlisted including Sany, Aier Ophthalmology, Zoomlion, and Lens Technology. Sany and Aier Ophthalmology made the 2022 World's Top 500 Brands list debut.

The first release of the World's Top 500 Brands list was in the spotlight. It covered samples of 37,164 world-famous brand enterprises and 47 companies listed or unlisted for the indices of major stock markets worldwide. Apple, Microsoft, and Google were the top three by their brand value of 799.809 billion USD, 667.435 billion USD, and 405.532 billion USD, respectively. The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) was the only Chinese brand among the top 10. Sinopec ranked 11th, and Huawei ranked 18th. Hunan-based Sany and Aier Ophthalmology were at 411th and 492nd place respectively.

As for China's Top 500 Brands list, CNPC, Sinopec, and State Grid were the top three, followed by Huawei, China State Construction (CSCEC), Tencent, Alibaba, China Life Insurance, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). The energy industry was a majority on the list, followed by the food and beverage, automobile, and internet sectors. Regionally, Beijing, Guangdong, and Shanghai are home to the most famous brands, with their respective number being 117, 83, and 51 and the total number accounting for more than half of the list.

Fifteen Hunan-based enterprises on the list of 2022 China's Top 500 Brands are Sany, Aier Ophthalmology, Zoomlion, Lens Technology, CRRC Times Electric, Jiugui Liquor, Founder Securities, Juewei Food, Goke Microelectronics, Better Life Group, LBX Pharmacy, Xuetian Salt, Jiuzhitang, S'Young, and Longping High-tech. Among them, CRRC Times Electric is in Zhuzhou, Jiugui Liquor is in Xiangxi, and the other 13 are in Changsha.
