The 16th China Brand Festival opened in Changsha on August 8. Zheng Jianbang, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and executive vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, delivered a speech via video link.
Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, announced the opening of the festival. Zhang Jian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, addressed the opening ceremony.
The theme of the festival is "Opening-up and Forging Ahead". Zheng Jianbang said the theme conforms to the current development situation of China, and also clarifies the responsibilities and missions that Chinese brands should undertake. He pointed out from three perspectives of national brand, city brand and corporate brand that brand is attitude and commitment and communication is the booster of brand development.
"I'm an 'endorser' for Changsha," said Zheng Jianbang, adding that Changsha has not only established its own image as a food, entertainment, and internet celebrity city, but also achieved fruitful results in education, culture, mechanical engineering, high-end equipment, and manufacturing. Changsha's brand image is diversified.
The China Brand Festival is a high-standard, large-scale and influential event for Chinese brands to publicize and display their brand images. It has been held in Beijing, Guiyang, Qingdao, Dalian, Chengdu, Wuhan and other cities for 15 consecutive sessions. It is known as "the Olympic Games in the Chinese brand industry". The 16th China Brand Festival includes an opening ceremony, nine important events, and 23 parallel forums. It serves as a bridge to facilitate exchange and communication, resources matchmaking, and ideas pooling. Thousands of brand enterprises have been attracted to participate in the event.
Choosing Changsha as the hosting venue of the festival is a full affirmation and great impetus for Changsha's brand building. Keeping brand building in mind, Changsha has insisted on expanding the comprehensive influence of the city and enhancing the sustainable competitiveness of the city. The city has achieved remarkable results in brand building in recent years. It has nurtured a large number of excellent well-known brands including Sany, Zoomlion, Lens Technology and internet celebrity brands such as Wenheyou Laochangsha Lobster Restaurant and Sexy Tea (Chayan Yuese). Wang Yong, initiator of the China Brand Festival and chairman of the Brand Alliance, said that Changsha is a city that attracts global attention and a city with rich culture. He hopes that more people will visit and fall in love with Changsha, invest and start businesses, and live and work in the city.
As an important exhibition event introduced by the Changsha government this year, the festival plays a vital role in building the brand image of Changsha City and promoting investment attraction.
