A mountain bike race, a part of the National Fitness Week activities, was held in Wulingyuan Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province on August 7. A total of 1,570 cyclists coming from Hubei, Fujian and Guangdong provinces participated. The race consisted of 5 events -- Men's Road Race, Women's Road Race, Men's Professional Mountain Bike Race, Women's Mountain Bike Race, and Men's Amateur Bike Race. The 18-km race route winded through the major scenic spots in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, including Ten-mile Gallery Resort, Shuiraosimen (four streams converge here), and Bai Zhang Gorge.
