The Office of the Partnership for Enhancing the Export Capacity of Africa to China (PEECAC) was recently established in Yuhua Block, Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area. The move aims to promote African agricultural products to prospective importers across the country, and help African countries organize matchmaking meetings and investment project roadshows.
The PEECAC was established last year, funded by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and managed by the United Nations International Trade Centre. The Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, China-Africa Development Fund, and Hunan Overseas Home Information Technology Co., Ltd. are project partners. In the next three years, efforts will be made to promote the export of African non-resource products to China and the sustainable investment of Chinese enterprises in Africa.
With the implementation of relevant provincial and municipal policies and the construction of cooperation channels between Hunan and Africa, Changsha's trade with Africa has increased. The Changsha Project Office is operated by the Hunan Overseas Home Information Technology Co., Ltd. "We have been stationed in 18 key African countries and have helped more than 1,000 Chinese companies enter the African market through talent recruitment, overseas task handling, and overseas project matchmaking," said Lei Ting, head of the company, adding that the company will build Hunan-Africa exchange and cooperation platforms to share business information, strengthen weak industrial chains, and solve other problems.
