On July 27, CCID Consulting's Urban Economic Research Center released a research report on high-quality development of urban economy in China and the top 100 districts in 2022. Six districts from Hunan Province were on the list, including Yuhua, Yuelu, Tianxin, Kaifu, Furong districts of Changsha City, and Wuling District of Changde City.
Yuhua District ranked 13th on the list and ranked first among districts in central and western China. Yuelu, Tianxin, Furong, and Kaifu ranked 51st, 52nd, 70th, and 84th respectively. The six districts all have improved their ranking positions from last year. Wuling District moved to 67th from 98th, showing a strong momentum of growth.
The CCID Consulting's Urban Economic Research Center is directly subordinate to the China Center for Information Industry Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. A total of 910 districts at prefectural-level and sub-provincial level were evaluated based on five first-level indicators involving economic strength, growth impetus, internal support, regional function, and shared development, and 23 second-level indicators.
