First Hunan-ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair Slated for August

The First Hunan-ASEAN Investment and Trade Fair will be held in Shaoyang between August 25 and 27. The Fifth ASEAN-Hunan (Shaoyang) Famous and High-quality Products Trade Fair will be held simultaneously.

The events are hosted by the Shaoyang Municipal People's Government, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the China-ASEAN Business Council. Now Shaoyang enters the final stretch of preparation work.

Related departments have leveraged their resources to strengthen cooperation with listed companies, Fortune Global 500 companies, top 500 Chinese enterprises, and China's top 500 private enterprises. The move aims to encourage more large companies to participate in the trade fair and ensure the benefits of the event to be fully delivered. Huawei, China Resources Group, as well as several Fortune Global 500 companies, top 500 Chinese enterprises, and China's top 500 private enterprises are invited to the trade fair. More than 100 key enterprises in Shaoyang and 26 key enterprises from other cities will participate. Projects with an estimated contract value of 50 billion yuan will be inked.

Three major activities will be arranged based on the theme of economic and trade cooperation, including:
-- The opening ceremony and Forum on RCEP Economic and Trade Cooperation;
-- The Sixth Global Shaoyang Entrepreneurs Conference and the China-ASEAN Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) Cooperation Promotion Conference; and,
-- The Fifth ASEAN-Hunan (Shaoyang) Famous and High-quality Products Trade Fair.

With an exhibition area of 20,000 sqm, the Fifth ASEAN-Hunan (Shaoyang) Famous and High-quality Products Trade Fair will attract nearly 600 exhibitors. It plans to invite about 1,000 professional visitors and 1,000 professional purchasing agents. The number of visitors is expected to hit 100,000. The transaction value is expected to reach 10 billion yuan.
