Hunan Has Six New National Culture and Tourism Consumption Clusters

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism on July 17 announced the second batch of 123 candidates for the national culture and tourism consumption clusters. Among them, six candidates are in Hunan Province, namely,


- Meixi Lake Meilanfang Commercial Street, Changsha;


- Hongxing (Red Star) Commercial Street, Changsha;


- Yueyang Tower Tourist Resort, Yueyang;


- Liuye Lake Hejie Tourism and Culture Street, Changde;


- Lingling Ancient Town, Yongzhou; and,


- Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town, Huaihua.

The list of candidates is open for public review until July 22. With the six newly-selected ones, Hunan has 10 national culture and tourism consumption clusters in total. The first batch of 120 national nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters was announced last November. Four clusters from Hunan Province were selected – Wuyi Business District in Changsha City; Yangguang 100 Fenghuang Street in Changsha; Fenghuang Ancient Town Tourist Area in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture; and, Furong Town Scenic Area in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
