Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan governor, met in Changsha with Ma Xulun, chairman and chief of the Party Leading Group of the China Southern Air Holding Co., Ltd. (CSAH), on the afternoon of July 13.

Secretary Zhang, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, welcomed Mr. Ma and his entourage, and extended gratitude to CSAH for its long-term contributions to Hunan’s economic and social development. He noted that, Hunan is thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Hunan Province, and carrying out the strategic positioning and tasks of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy and for building a modern new Hunan. He hoped CSAH to reinforce support to Hunan Province, enhance transport capacity, expand air travel market, and boost international passenger and freight transport service. These would assist Hunan to develop export-oriented economy, and build an inland hub of reform and opening up. Hunan will further improve the business environment and strengthen guarantee for production factors, to facilitate CSAH’s investment and business in the province.

Mr. Ma thanked Hunan Province for its great support to CSAH. The company will further optimize the airline network for Hunan market, he added. He expected to deepen cooperation with Hunan in the areas of new airline development, integration of aviation and tourism, and construction of aviation bases, so as to make new contributions to Hunan’s high-quality development.
