Changning City in Hunan Province enjoys a long history of planting lotus flowers. In recent years, the city government has leveraged its traditional industrial advantages and good environment to develop agritourism and rural tourism and to promote the integration of featured agriculture and sightseeing, rural tourism, and health care. Several agritourism complexes have come into being. An industrial pattern of "agriculture-tourism integration, promoting tourism through agriculture, and invigorating agriculture through tourism" is taking shape. This helps increase local famers' income and boost rural revitalization.
