Tujia People Celebrate "Liuyueliu" Festival

July 4 marked the Tujia ethnic group's "Liuyueliu" customs. It falls on the sixth day on the sixth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. The district held folk cultural activities to celebrate it and support the upcoming first Hunan Tourism Development Conference. Various performances were staged, including farming dance, Daliuzi (a kind of local musical instrument performance with a long history), folk songs performed in antiphonal style, and water-sprinkling dragon dance. It attracted many locals and tourists.
