Approved by the Changsha Municipal People's Government, the Changsha Maglev Express Line will resume operations starting June 30, 2022. The operating hours are from 07:00 to 22:30 and the interval between trains is 10 minutes.

The Changsha Maglev Express Line temporarily suspended operations from May 5 to June 30, 2022. The decision was made to ensure safe construction and train operation as new rail turnouts need to be added to connect the east extension line with the Changsha Huanghua International Airport Terminal 3. Passenger services were not available at the line's all stations during the suspension period.

The Changsha Maglev Express Line's turnout project underwent a three-day safety review from June 26 to 28. The expert group concluded that the project had completed civil engineering, track and turnout facilities, and the connection and debugging of existing electromechanical equipment. All indicators and functions met the design requirements. The line was qualified to be put into operation again.
