On June 20, Yiyang-Changsha section of the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha Railway started trial operation. Since the joint commissioning and testing of the Yiyang-Changsha section of the railway line was launched on May 8, step-by-step acceleration of EMUs, signal test, and other work have been successfully completed. The Yiyang-Changsha section will open to traffic after passing acceptance inspection of trial operation.
The Changde-Yiyang-Changsha Railway is 157km in length, with a designed speed of 350 km/h. It is a key part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network.
