The Hunan Expressway Group's first demonstration charging station started trial operation in Changsha on June 16.
This charging station is located in the parking lot in the west of the Gold Beverly Building at No. 500 of Sany Avenue, Kaifu District, Changsha, about 1km away from the G4 Beijing-Hong Kong- Macao Expressway Changsha Toll Station. It is composed of a western and a back parking lot of the Hunan Expressway Group headquarter building. All of its 24 charging piles are available for the vehicles of group staff and visitors. The single charging pile power can reach 240KW to the maximum. An electric vehicle (EV) can run 300 km after a 20-minute charge.
The charging station was built at high standard. Membrane structure shelters are equipped and slip-proof and wear-resistant epoxy terrace lacquer is used. There are also tables and chairs for drivers to take a rest.
The Hunan Expressway Group operates the charging station to boost the realization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, and serve the people. It will further expand the charging network in expressway service areas, and arrange construction of subsidiaries and charging stations. An online and offline combined charging network of Hunan's expressways will be formed for the convenience of EV drivers.
