On the same day, the Development and Reform Commission, the Ecological Environmental Protection Bureau, and other units of the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture jointly launched the 2022 National Energy Efficiency Promotion Week and the National Low Carbon Day publicity activities. The themes were “prioritizing energy-saving in green development” and “achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals to build a beautiful homeland together” respectively. Volunteers went to institutions, enterprises, campuses, and communities to popularize low-carbon and energy-saving knowledge to the general public. They played films on energy conservation and emission reduction promotion, set up exhibition boards, and distributed environmental protection bags. This aimed to advocate green lifestyle, create an atmosphere of energy-saving and carbon-reduction in the whole society, and raise public awareness of environmental protection.
