The Qulan Middle School in Hengyang County organized students to work in the fields on June 6. This year's June 6 marked the arrival of "Mangzhong", or "Grain in Ear", the ninth of 24 solar terms on China's Lunar Calendar. It signified the ripening of crops and was also a busy period for farmers. Students walked into the fields and experienced farm work such as rice transplanting, weeding, and vegetable growing. In doing so, they learned about agricultural knowledge, improved their labor capacity, and developed a good habit of respecting work and having a passion for labor. (Photo/Liu Xinrong)
