He asked to thoroughly implement President Xi Jinping's important exposition on coordinated regional development; seize the important opportunity brought forth by including the Hunan-Jiangxi border regional cooperation demonstration zone into national strategy and the central government's comprehensive promotion of infrastructure construction; and, coordinately promote an array of projects such as infrastructure interconnection, public service sharing, complementary industrial development, and joint treatment of ecological environment, to contribute to regional cooperation between Hunan and Jiangxi.

Mao Weiming, during his inspection, emphasized that Hunan and Jiangxi were connected by mountains and rivers and the people in both provinces felt a close affinity with each other. There are profound historical origin and friendship between the two provinces. The regional cooperation between Hunan and Jiangxi has now stood at a new historical starting point. It is necessary to:

- Strengthen the interconnection of infrastructure, make joint efforts in the construction of new infrastructure such as water conservancy, energy, and information, and accelerate the creation of a comprehensive transportation system integrating smooth internal-external connectivity and three-dimensional interconnection;

- Accelerate industrial ecological symbiosis and complementarity, strengthen cooperation in industrial coordination, joint research and development, and talent sharing, and promote efficient industrial coupling and high-speed flow of factors;

- Promote the co-construction and sharing of public services, and include more high-frequency matters closely related to the production of enterprises and people's lives into the scope of "inter-provincial government services" and "matters handled via online platform"; and,

- Improve joint protection and treatment of ecological environment, promote inter-provincial joint prevention and control of water pollution, air pollution, waste, etc., and protect lucid waters and lush mountains.
