2022 China (Hunan) – African Countries Fishery and Aquatic Products Promotion Conference Slated for May 26

The 2022 China (Hunan) – African Countries Fishery and Aquatic Products Promotion Conference will be held in Changsha on May 26, the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province said on May 24.

The conference is one of the serial activities of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE)  which is not in session this year. It is organized by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, and jointly undertaken by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Yuhua Management Committee of the Changsha Area of the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the Hunan China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council.

Themed “Holding Discussions on Fishery Cooperation and Sharing Development Platform”, the event will focus on the development of China-Africa fishery cooperation;share the views from the political, business, and academic circles; deeply interpret fishery development trends and policies; mainly promote African fishery resources and related preferential policies; establish a matchmaking and exchanging platform for Chinese and African fishery industries; and, pragmatically push forward the advancement of the fishery industrial chains and enterprises. Diplomatic envoys from Algeria, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Uganda and other African countries in China, as well as representatives of domestic government departments, business associations, think tanks, and enterprises will participate online or offline.

It will be live-streamed on the Internet (simultaneous interpretation in both Chinese and English).
