On May 23, the Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology unveiled 100 iconic "digital new infrastructure" projects of Hunan Province in 2022. It required related departments to ensure the project construction factors and advance the projects to put them into operation as soon as possible.

Among the 100 projects, 18 are for 5G construction, 27 for industrial internet, 22 for big data, 12 for artificial intelligence (AI), 11 for internet of things, and 10 for block chain. The project undertakers include representative enterprises in respective industries and reputed companies from around the province, such as Zoomlion, Sunward, Truking, and Wasion Group. These projects cover such fields as medical care, agriculture, construction machinery, and tourism.

Next, Hunan will take the major projects as a spearhead, to accelerate new infrastructure construction, boost digital transformation in various aspects of economic and social development, and thoroughly implement the positioning, missions, and tasks of the “Three Hubs and Four New Mission” Strategy. The Hunan Department of Industry and Information Technology will give priority to the shortlisted projects for national-level pilot and demonstration, provide special financial support and promote the project experience.
