With the theme of “Inheritance and Creativity”, the first Changsha-Taiwan Chinese Character Creative Design Works Exhibition and Forum opened in Changsha on May 17. It was co-sponsored by the Hunan Song Dan Chinese Character Art Museum, the School of Art of Taiwan Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan Kaohsiung Cultural Design Development Association, and others. The forum was broadcast live online in Taiwan and Changsha.
Creative design works featuring Chinese characters from Changsha and Taiwan were solicited for the exhibition. Teachers and students from over 40 universities and colleges, more than 60 associations and institutions, and 100 art masters in the two places participated. According to the sponsors, creative design works featuring Chinese characters are displayed both online and offline. The forum mainly discussed the creative design of Chinese characters, making it a new medium connecting Changsha and Taiwan.
