“Customized” Vocational Education Boosts Employment

The photo, taken on May 10, shows a teacher instructing students to assemble automobile engines at a vehicle maintenance classroom of the Xintian County Vocational Secondary School. The school has adjust its specialty programs in recent years, benchmarking with enterprises’ demands. Five industry-education integrated training bases were established, covering the fields of electronic engineering, vehicle maintenance, machining, housekeeping service, and intelligent healthcare and elderly care service. In addition, the school has collaborated with enterprises, integrated working and learning together, arranged internships in companies, and promoted pairing-up between graduates and employees. Every year, more than 1,500 technical personnel and industrial workers were cultivated in a customized manner for enterprises, which helped broaden the employment channels for vocational school graduates.
