Ten world champions were recently appointed Hunan's first sports ambassadors for health promotion. They are Long Qingquan, Wang Mingjuan, Li Jing, Chai Biao, Mao Jiao, Tian Qin, Luo Dan, Dong Bin, Li Xiaolu, and Sun Wenyan.

The appointment of these ambassadors was initiated by the Health Education and Promotion Center of the Hunan Health Commission, and supported by the Hunan Sports Bureau. It aimed to implement the “Health China 2030” blueprint and the “Health Hunan” 14th Five-year Plan, promote and popularize health knowledge, advocate healthy lifestyle, and improve people’s health quality.

The appointed ambassadors are outstanding representatives of Hunan athletes who have worked hard and won honors for the country and the province. They have a passion for sports, actively responded to the calls, carried forward China's sporting spirit, and made contributions to the construction of a healthy Hunan.

When attending major events, such as Health Hunan promotion, health knowledge popularization, and epidemic prevention and control, they will play a representative role to lead the public to cultivate right concept of health, foster healthy lifestyle, advocate healthy social customs, and boost the high-quality development of a healthy Hunan.
