The 2022 Changsha Four Seasons-themed Consumption Promotion Activity was inaugurated on April 26. Consumption e-vouchers will be released simultaneously. The activity was guided by the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce and the Changsha Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Commerce.
The activity is a strong measure to effectively reduce the impact of the epidemic and accelerate the recovery of consumption in Changsha. This year, it has the following three characteristics:
Various themed activities and resources
The activity will focus on international brand gathering, festive brand consumption, landmark building to spur consumption, Internet-famous Changsha, bulk commodities, first-store and first-mover economy, food and health services, digital new consumption, commercial, cultural and tourism integration, rural revitalization and green and low-carbon consumption. Various themed activities will be held according to the characteristics of the four seasons. More than 110 sub-events will be held throughout the year, with over 100 million yuan of government and social investment. They are expected to boost consumption by more than 20%.
Bringing great benefits to people and covering a wide range of areas
Consumption e-coupons worth over 30 million yuan will be released. The first round of e-coupon presenting is held on April 26 via the “Changsha Business [长沙商务]” WeChat official account, the China UnionPay “Cloud Flash Payment [云闪付]” APP, and the Changsha City “Blessed Star City [福满星城]” WeChat mini-program. Later, platforms including JD APP, JD Home APP, Douyin or Tik Tok, and a food delivery app, will also issue consumption e-coupons and digital red envelopes. In addition to traditional areas such as department stores, supermarkets, catering and home appliances, the activity also involves service industries such as beauty salon, medical care, and maternal and infant life. This is to meet the consumption needs of different citizen groups and create a national consumption atmosphere.
Various thematic activities with Changsha characteristics
Apart from consumption promotion activities focusing on automobiles, home appliances, home furnishing and other bulk commodities, the activity will also leverage Changsha's advantages as a famous convention and exhibition city to carry out a series of exhibitions, including the Central China (Changsha) International Sugar and Wine Food Expo and the Time-honored Brand Products Expo. Based on Changsha's high-quality cultural and tourism resources, customized cultural, tourism and sports service products will be launched. Typical internet-famous consumption scenarios will be created in urban areas, with the Internet-famous Changsha as the core. In rural areas, Internet celebrities will be invited to promote featured agricultural products to help rural revitalization. A series of night economic activities such as summer night carnival and good night life festival will be held, to continue the city’s efforts to take the lead in nighttime consumption. The first China (Changsha) Urban New Consumption Summit will be held, highlighting new consumption scenarios and new experiences. First-store and brand economies will be strengthened. New product release meetings and autumn and winter fashion week will also be held, to help Changsha brands grow stronger and bigger.
