Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area to Reopen on April 15

Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area will reopen from April 15, according to the Nanyue District People’s Government on April 13. The opening hours are between 8:00 and 17:30. The core scenic area will open between 8:00 and 20:00 every day.

All indoor and outdoor scenic spots will reopen to the public, including Hengshan Mountain Core Scenic Area, Nanyue Temple, Wanshou Tripod, Shuilian Cave, and Zhurong Fire Cultural Park. At the Core Scenic Area, only the all-for-one tourism service center, Kangjialong, Bailongtan, and Xiling check-ins will open. Other check-ins will be temporarily closed.

The scenic area carries out tight epidemic prevention and control measures, including
-- limiting the number of visitors;
-- implementing staggered shifts and reservation systems;
-- avoiding gathering;
-- asking tourists to scan the venue QR code; and,
-- checking health QR codes, valid proof of negative nucleic acid test results, and digital travel records.

Visitors are required to make a real-name reservation via the official WeChat account of “Nanyue Tourism [南岳旅游]”. The Hengyang Annual Travel Cards, and free admissions for the Nanyue District and Hengshan County locals, will be still suspended.

When visiting the scenic area, tourists are required to abide by the following anti-epidemic measures:
-- showing their ID cards, health QR codes, and digital travel records;
-- wearing masks properly;
-- cooperating with body temperature measurement;
-- scanning the venue QR code; and,
-- keeping a distance of at least 1 meter from each other.

Those who are from medium- and high-risk areas or have symptoms of fever and cough are not allowed to enter.
