Hunan's five major international logistics channels achieved a good start, with a substantial growth in main data indicators. The five channels included the China-Europe Railway Express Changsha Assembling Hub, Yueyang Chenglingji Port, Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-Sea Express, Huaihua New Western Land-sea Corridor, and International Air Freight Assembly Hub.

At the Changsha international railway port container yard, gantry cranes lifted containers on a China-Europe freight train. In the first quarter of this year, Changsha handled 263 freight trains, an increase of 71.90% over the same period of the previous year. The value of the loaded goods totaled 652 million USD.

A cargo ship with 386 containers loaded with imported mechanical and electrical products and foods arrived at the wharf of Yueyang Chenglingji New Port. It set off from Shanghai. This year Yueyang City has accelerated the development of multimodal transportation including water transfer and rail-sea combined transport. This helps improve production and operation efficiency. In the first quarter of this year, container throughput hit 177,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) at the Chenglingji New Port, an increase of more than 20%.

At the Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-Sea Express Zhuzhou station, workers lifted Geely Automobile's 16 containers loaded with auto parts on a fright train. The auto parts which can be assembled together into 120 cars are scheduled to arrive at the Guangzhou Port the next afternoon. Then the products will be shipped to Malaysia's Port Klang. Now Hunan-Guangdong-Africa Rail-Sea Express freight trains are under regular operation, with 1,031 containers in total handled.
