He asked to study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control; give top priority to people’s safety and health; be united as one to fight against the pandemic; put the utmost effort toward the successful containment of the virus in the shortest period of time; strive to stem the spread of the virus; and, maintain the overall stability of the hard-won situation of the epidemic prevention and control.

Governor Mao called for all-out efforts to handling the epidemic situation of a high-speed train with a high sense of responsibility. He noted that after the confirmed positive cases found on the high-speed train and its urgent stop at Loudi, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province have attached great importance to the anti-pandemic work. They immediately implemented the requirements of the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council for epidemic prevention and control work. The provincial epidemic prevention and control headquarters activated the emergency response mechanism, and dispatched a working group to the site for guidance. Loudi Party committee and government urgently opened the centralized quarantine points and carefully provided service guarantees. The China Railway Guangzhou Group participated in the whole process of personnel closed-loop transfer and disinfection from the beginning to the end. The epidemic prevention and control work is now effective and orderly, the tourists are calm and stable, and the overall social situation is generally steady.
