Changsha held a press conference on April 5
afternoon to brief the media on its latest COVID-19 prevention and control
efforts. No new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported
in Changsha from 0:00 on May 4 to 12:00 on May 5. One patient was cured and discharged from the hospital on May
5, while the other hospitalized patients were in stable condition.
Li Weidong, deputy director of the Changsha Municipal Health Commission, reminded that, as the three-day Qingming Festival holiday ends, those who come or return to Changsha from out of Hunan Province or from cities and prefecture with COVID-19 cases in Hunan Province shall report two days in advance via “My Changsha” APP and “My Changsha” mini-program. They can also report to the community (village), company, or hotel located in the destination by phone call or by family members, friends, and colleagues. The proof of a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours shall be provided.
Those who come or return to Changsha from epidemic-affected areas shall take a nucleic acid test within 24 hours after arrival and have one more nucleic acid test within seven days.
Those entering Changsha from Shanghai and other areas with high risk of virus spread shall undergo seven-day centralized
quarantine and seven-day home quarantine after arriving in the city.
