During the 24 hours of April 2, there were 5 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan (including 4 imported cases). There were no new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 17 people under medical observation (including 9 imported cases).
 
Between 0:00 on July 20, 2021 and 24:00 on April 2, 2022, a total of 263 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 82 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 48 patients hospitalized, and no severe cases. Two hundred and fifteen patients were discharged from hospitals (including 82 imported cases). No people had died.
