Governor Mao and his entourage first inspected the construction site of the Changsha West Railway Station, and then took a motor-trolley to inspect the Ningxiang West, Yiyang South, and other stations along the way. He emphasized that all construction sites must strictly implement closed-off management; carry out comprehensive environmental disinfection and nucleic acid testing; practice personal protective protocols; and, build a strong defense line for epidemic prevention and control.

Governor Mao noted at the meeting that, the Changde-Yiyang-Changsha Railway project is one of the “Top 10 Infrastructure Projects” in Hunan Province. It has received strong support from relevant national ministries and commissions, the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., and the China Railway Guangzhou Group Co., Ltd., since the construction started in 2019. The railway construction has effective coordination, strong guarantee of elements, and orderly project progress. So far, an investment of 18.25 billion yuan has been completed, accounting for 65.8% of the total investment, meeting the overall progress requirements.
