On March 30, the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the list of the first batch of provincial-level rural industrial integration development demonstration parks. A total of 14 units were on the list.

The 14 units covered 13 cities and one prefecture across the province and included:
-- Wangcheng District Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Chaling County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Xiangtan County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Hengnan County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Shaoyang County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Yueyang County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Lixian County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Cili County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Datong Lake District Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Louxing District Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Linwu County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Jiangyong County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park;
-- Hongjiang City Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park; and,
-- Fenghuang County Provincial Rural Industrial Integration Development Demonstration Park.

The Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission requires all local authorities to take solid steps to promote demonstration park construction in the following aspects:
-- Continue to optimize production facilities in the parks including high-standard cropland and water conservancy;
-- Further improve infrastructure conditions such as cold chain logistics;
-- Accumulate experience and explore models;
-- Keep close ties with farmers; and,
-- Promote the accelerated development of rural industrial integration in the region.
