Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, visited Zhangjiajie on March 28 and 29, 2022. He inspected the work on tourism industry development, red or revolutionary culture, rural revitalization, ethnic unity, food safety, and other aspects in the city.

He asked to thoroughly study and implement the spirits of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on Hunan Province; stay true to the principle that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets; make good use of red resources and make revolutionary stories known; work hard and take pragmatic actions; strive to build Zhangjiajie into a world-class tourist destination; and, set the stage for the 20th CPC National Congress with concrete actions.

On March 28, Secretary Zhang inspected Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

On March 29, Secretary Zhang came to Hequn Village, Furongqiao Bai Minority Township, Sangzhi County for inspection.

On March 29, Secretary Zhang called at a villager's home in Hequn Village and learned about their daily life.

On March 29, Secretary Zhang visited the Memorial Hall of He Long.
