On the morning of March 22, Zhang Qingwei, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, inspected the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work in Changsha. Secretary Zhang, on behalf of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Hunan Province, extended greetings and thanks to the medical staff and workers who are fighting on the front line of epidemic prevention and control.

He asked to study and implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speeches, directives, and instructions on COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control; follow the decisions and arrangements made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council; implement the work requirements of the State Council joint prevention and control mechanism; give top priority to people's safety and health; carry forward the great spirit forged in the battle against COVID-19; pool strength in the shortest period of time to halt the spread of the epidemic; and, make every effort to prevent any sizable resurgence of the epidemic.

 

On March 22, Secretary Zhang Qingwei visited Xingcheng Shijia Residential Community, Jiayu Community, Dongtundu Neighborhood, to check the epidemic prevention and control work.

Provincial leaders Li Dianxun, Wu Guiying, Xie Weijiang, and Xu Xianhui, attended.

 

On March 22, Secretary Zhang inspected and instructed the epidemic prevention and control work in Xinda Guidu Hotel, a designated site for quarantine.
