
On March 22, a citizen used digital renminbi (RMB) to pay at a pharmacy in Ganziyuan Neighborhood, Furong District, Changsha City. In November 2020, Changsha became the only pilot city for the use of digital RMB in Hunan. The scenarios now have covered many fields such as public government affairs, daily necessities, transportation, and retail consumption. More than 32 million personal and corporate accounts have been opened, and more than 160,000 business owners support digital RMB payment.
