Between March 16th and 18th, the Hunan Week in China Pavilion at the Dubai 2020 Expo was held in both Changsha and Dubai sub-venues simultaneously. Eight major events were launched online and offline. Forty economic and trade cooperation agreements and intentions were reached, worth a total value of 257 million USD.

On March 16th, the opening ceremony of the Hunan Week was live streamed on multiple channels, attracting 1.18 million views. Products in eight categories were displayed at the exhibition at the Changsha sub-venue while 17 categories were promoted at the Dubai venue. Hunan’s latest achievements in intelligent manufacturing and Hunan specialties such as tea, embroidery, and porcelain, were presented. Thirteen projects were contracted at the opening ceremony, bringing about 101 million USD.

An online match-making meeting for key industries has built a bridge for Chinese and UAE enterprises. More than 300 enterprises in five primary sectors – rail transit, construction engineering, cultural tourism and automation, modern agriculture, and nonferrous metals – reached intended deals with the Middle East purchasers in relevant industries. More than 120 participators around the world conducted 48 rounds of pairing-up negotiation. Interpreters and technical personnel provided whole-course one-to-one assistance for the participating enterprises. As a result, eighteen intended cooperation deals were preliminarily reached, valued at a total of over 60 million USD.

The Online Promotion of Hunan Products in the Middle East opened on March 16th, and will last until March 31st. So far, more than 5,000 professional purchasers have registered, 120 one-to-one video negotiations have been held, and 300,000 visits have been received.

During the Hunan Week, Changsha, Yiyang, and Chenzhou held City Day activities and respectively obtained contracts worth 5.45 million USD, 60 million USD, and 30 million USD.
