The People’s Government of Nanyue District made an announcement on the adjustments of epidemic prevention and control measures on March 15, according to the latest COVID-19 countermeasures set by the central government, and provincial and municipal authorities.

Starting from 8:00 am on March 16, reservations would be required to enter the Hengshan Mountain Scenic Area, while e-ticket admissions would be adopted. All annual travel cards and paper tickets, and also free admissions for the Nanyue District and Hengshan County locals, would be suspended. The move aimed to reduce gathering and ensure the health and safety of residents and tourists.

Opening hours of the scenic area would be adjusted to between 8:00 and 17:30 every day.

The scenic area will strictly limit the number of visitors, implement staggered shifts, avoid gathering, and exercise grid-based management. Tourists from medium- or high-risk areas will not be accepted. All tourists are required to make reservations in advance through the official WeChat account of “Nanyue Tourism [南岳旅游]”.

In the Hengshan Mountain Core Scenic Area, only the all-for-one tourism service center and Kangjialong, Bailongtan, and Xiling check-ins would open. Other check-ins would be temporarily closed.

When visiting the scenic area, tourists are required to abide by the following anti-epidemic measures:
-- show their ID cards, health QR codes, and digital travel records;
-- wear masks properly;
-- cooperate with body temperature measurement; and,
-- scan the venue QR code.

Those who need help can call the tourism hotline at 12345.
