On March 15, the Qingtancun Bridge on the Pingjiang-Yiyang Expressway was under construction. The expressway is currently the longest one under construction in Hunan Province. It starts from Shiniuzhai Town in Pingjiang County which is located in the boundary area of Hunan and Jiangxi in the east, and ends at Bijia Mountain in Heshan District, Yiyang City, in the west, connecting to the Changsha-Yiyang section of the Changsha-Changde North Expressway. It is 176.66 kilometers long. Upon completion, it will be of great significance to promote the construction of the Hunan-Jiangxi border regional cooperation demonstration zone. It will also be important to pushing the old revolutionary area in Hunan-Jiangxi border areas to align with the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
