Zhu Guoxian, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, inspected Huaihua City on March 14, 2022. He asked to study and implement President Xi Jinping's important expositions on work concerning agriculture, rural areas and farmers; implement the spirit of the national annual “two sessions”; focus on grain production; speed up the promotion of seed industry innovation; develop and strengthen rural characteristic industries; and, create the brand of “Chinese (Hunan) Grain” and make Hunan’s “golden calling card” of rural affairs shine.
In Zhongfang County, Deputy Secretary Zhu walked into the hybrid rice planting base of the Opulent Seed Technology Co., Ltd. and learned about the development of the seed industry. He then visited the rice planting base and grain processing workshop of the Zhijiang Lvye Rice Industry Co., Ltd., to learn about the protection of cultivated land, preparation for spring plowing, and grain processing.
Weichu Spine Grape Base has actively developed grape planting, wine processing, rural tourism, and other industries, and has been rated as a provincial-level demonstration site for integration of three industries. Zhu affirmed the achievements of the industrial integration development of the base, and hoped the local government to build high-quality agricultural product bases, improve the processing level of agricultural products, and improve the rural leisure tourism industry, especially the characteristic industries such as rural homestay and agritainment, so as to promote employment and increase the farmers’ income.
Zhu had an in-depth understanding of the project construction and functional layout at the under-constructed Huaihua International Land Port. He called for giving full play to the advantages, identifying the positioning, cultivating and expanding the logistics industry, and assisting Hunan Province in accelerating formation of a new opening up pattern with joint construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative as the core. He also inspected the R&D and production of high-end electronic components and precision electronic automation equipment in the Huachen Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County. He encouraged the company to continue to strengthen scientific and technological research and break through the bottleneck of core technologies and industries, to contribute to implementation of the positioning, tasks, and missions of the “Three Hubs and Four New Missions” Strategy.
