
The 59th Learn from Lei Feng Day is approaching. On March 1, the 2022 China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) Volunteer Service Group staged a special event to mark the day at the Hunan Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Wangcheng District, Changsha City.
Artists performed various programs. The CFLAC Volunteer Service Group, the Hunan Provincial Literary and Art Volunteer Service Group, and the volunteers of the Lei Feng Memorial Hall, carried forward the spirit of Lei Feng and paid tribute to the pioneers of the times with rich artistic forms such as recitation, singing and dancing, and quyi. Professor Wang Tieniu from the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University presented Lei Feng-themed oil paintings to the Lei Feng Memorial Hall.
Serial activities were jointly initiated by the China Literary and Art Volunteers’ Association, the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Publicity Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee, and the troop where Lei Feng once served. Themed “writing new stories of ‘Lei Feng’ in the new era”, the event was first held in Lei Feng's hometown, and will be performed online and offline in Fushun City of Liaoning Province and other places.
